Luís Castro: "I really like my career"

Luís Castro guarantees that he would not change anything in his career. The Al Nassr coach, who has played for clubs such as FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk or Botafogo, among others, recalled, in an interview with Sport TV, that he “came from the bottom”, at the cost of “a lot of work”.

“My career has been going on for many years. There are people who have only known me for three or four years, but I come from the bottom. I already know what it's like to work 14 hours a day and have three jobs. Nothing bothers me anymore,” he said.

And he continued: “I really like my career. If they told me: would you change anything? Zero. Everyone has their own career, I have mine, which is my identity. Did I arrive late at the highest level? But I arrived.”

The 62-year-old coach also added that he is where he is thanks to what he has done in all the projects he has undertaken. “It was the work that drove me. I love saying this. These were very difficult times. I don't say this out of regret, I say it because that's what happened, it's the truth. It is a surprise for many that my technical team has reached where it has reached and will continue to go from strength to strength”, he assured.

Luís Castro also admitted that there are two dreams that he continues to nurture: coaching in the Premier League and coaching a national team. However, they are an obsession. “My dream is to be better tomorrow than I am today”, he stressed.
