Jefferson Encada started in Guinea-Bissau's 2–0 victory over Tanzania.
The full-back thus got off to the best possible start in the qualifying campaign for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Guinea is currently level on three points with Nigeria, who defeated Madagascar. The top two teams in the group will advance.
