Djalma ends his career
16 Dec 2023
There were almost 500 games and the honor of having won national titles in Portugal and Greece. At 36, Djalma ends his football career.
The winger born in Luanda stood out, above all, at Marítimo, where he began his career at professional level and where he made the jump to FC Porto, the club that helped him become national champion in the 2011/12 season and where he won two Super Cups.
Marítimo and FC Porto were two of the highlights of a career that also included other European championships. After his time with the Dragons, Djalma headed to Turkey, where he played for Kasimpasa, Konyaspor and Gençlerbirligi, in addition to Alanyasport, after a spell at PAOK, where, in two seasons, he played more than 70 games and won two Greek Cups.
Djalma was also capped by Angola, having played in the 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2019 CANs.
In total there were 484 games and 81 goals in a full career.
Congratulations, Djalma, on a brilliant career! New challenges will certainly follow.
